Several thoughts are keeping me going. A lot of it has to do with my personal history and the role that writing plays in my life. When I was 8, I left notes around the house asking my parents for an increase in my allowance. When I was in college, I was the nut who took three journalism classes and three literature classes in one semester. When I went to graduate school as an adult with two small children, my ability to write well saved my sanity.
I pushed on. My initial research told me that I first needed to learn about the business of writing because I knew nothing of queries, markets, or copyright. Once I learned what content should be included in a query, writing them was not difficult.however, researching the various markets has been incredibly time consuming. At first, I hit dead ends. I started searching the typical job sites, but most of them did not post freelance work.
Then I came across several subscription sites that claimed to connect freelancers with writing markets. I was concerned that some of these sites might be scams, but after spending several days exploring one site in particular, I had almost decided to subscribe. Before I took the leap, I came across an article which criticized the site. It did not appear to be a scam, but it was enough to validate my initial skepticism. I placed this market source on hold to explore other opportunities.
A few other market postings also begged caution. One in particular sounded like a great opportunity for new writers to get published. I started to complete their online application form until I arrived at the page that asked for my social security number. They claimed that they needed it in order to pay me, but they had not even seen my ideas or any of my writing samples. I cancelled the application and moved on.
Perhaps the biggest shock to my English teacher sensibilities was the listing for academic writers. I thought Great This I have done. I clicked the button that led to more information and realized that these markets were actually students trying to cheat their way through school. Again, I moved on.
Although my early attempts to find writing markets were clearly filled with concern, caution, and a certain degree of paranoia, my experiences thus far have been mainly positive. I found several sites that posted seemingly genuine paying markets. Even if the information does not lead to publication, many of these listings sparked ideas which I can pitch to other markets. Even more important, the generation of ideas has lifted my spirits by making writing for a living seem more realistic.
My biggest morale booster is no secret to most writers. Before purchasing Writer Market, I knew that it contained market listings and informative articles. I did not know that it contained lists of contests and awards, some of which are designed to assist writers financially while they are writing. I may never win such an award, but somehow, knowing that such a thing exists makes my goals seem more attainable.
Finally, I am almost ready to start submitting queries. The queries are written and effectively target the appropriate markets, but I am still confused about copyright. I am beginning to fear that my grasp of copyright law is going to become something like my grasp of the offside rule in soccer. My oldest son has just completed his second year playing travel soccer and each time I think I understand offside, something happens that makes me question my understanding. The same holds true for copyright. I understand the concept of first rights and I understand what it means to submit simultaneously. But when a market indicates that it buys first rights and also accepts simultaneous submissions, who gets first rights if two markets opt to purchase the same manuscript If they both print the story, they can not both have first rights. Can they Since I do not have the answer, I do not plan to submit queries simultaneously yet.
The most important lesson I have learned during this journey is that the faith I have in myself and in my aspirations must rise above the confusion and chaos created by the pursuit of the dream.

Market Shares
Income stocks are the stocks of companies with high and stable earnings that pay high dividends to the shareholders. The shares of such companies usually use mutual funds in the plans for middle-aged and elderly people.
No other investment promises such big and quick returns as the stock market. . Shares are liquid assets, which can be easily sold or bought, and you can even sell a portion of it. Moreover, this entire process of selling and buying shares doesn't take more than a few seconds especially with online stockbrokers available.
Now Sarasota and the commercial real estate market that is tagged with its name, real estate investors and realtors are pouring in. Developers have created different kinds of strategies to market the new and attractive fast life for every client. Real estate do not only use ads and media, nowadays, the Internet has also become one of the main sources of information for a commercial real estate property find.
You can take part in one of the many free-to-enter stockpicking competitions that the popular financial websites sometimes run. A few of them offer cash prizes. As a beginner you wouldn't expect to win. But you could fluke it. And in the meantime it will help hone your selection skills.
Now a interesting fact has emerged that you might not be aware of is that in the Chinese share market, which is full of domestic investors (only 47, yes 47 foreign investors are authorized to invest directly in the Chinese market),
If you are also willing to invest in stocks, the most common suggestion you might get from your friends and relatives is that you need a lot of research about the flexible market trends. In fact, it's a sound advice, but your research should be in the appropriate direction. There are several stock trading firms, Websites, and various online information that you can access through the Internet
The first thing you need to know is how the share market works. You need to understand what is going on and how and why it works. This means that you should take some time to learn about it, and you would even want to read some books from some great investors to learn their techniques and perspective on trading.
If you should go back to the olden days, you would realize that trading was never such a complicated and difficult-to-grasp business as it is today! Terminology like stocks and securities, stock market day trading, currency trading and so on, did not even exist in those days!
Stock Options give the holder the right to buy or sell particular shares at a fixed pre-determined price within a fixed period of time. Stock options can be traded in the same way that the underlying stock can be bought and sold.
Stock Market terminology can be daunting especially for the beginner, and Stock Options can be even harder to understand. I have put together a glossary of common terms relating to options trading that may help the novice trader.

Best Home Based Business - Is EBay Online Business Right For You?
With the economy continuing to struggle and the unemployment rate at a outrageous level, more and more people are seeking for jobs on the net. One of the numerous work from home ideas entrepreneurs run into is EBay. As with any position you look into, there are benefits and cons to turning EBay into an online business.
One of the desirable qualities to having an EBay business is that there are little to no skills indispensable. You don't need to be an internet promotion expert or be absolutely computer savvy. As long as you have products to sell and have an account by ways of the web site, you can come to a living off of such a business.
You will find it to be doable to sell just about anything imaginable on EBay. What can be junk to you can be gold to somebody else. For this circumstance, there is no limit as to what you can make cash off of. This opens the doors for potentially an excellent deal of business.
Finally, you get to work from the comfort of your own home. You can work always that you want, do whatever you want, and pile up your earnings with little work involved. No longer do you require to take orders from a boss or do projects you have no desire to do.
Unfortunately, with the good comes the bad. While there is the potential to sell just about anything you can call to mind on EBay, there is no certify that you will sell the products you have. Each day you must get on and hope that somebody has bid on the products enough that you will actually profit off of them.
As with numerous other areas of internet promotion, the competition is incredibly stiff. There are hundreds of thousands of other people all offering similar items on EBay hoping for an identical thing as you; to come to a living off of this work from home opportunity. This can make it hard to actually see the kind of results you had hoped for.
The last downside to running an EBay business online is that there are many fees associated with this. EBay has redone their charge structure through the last few years by raising the charges. While they are still relatively low, it can decrease the little amount of profit you are generating in the first place.
There are several benefits and cons to work from home opportunities such as starting an EBay business. While the potential for victory is there, there are no real guarantees as to what form of results you will see.

ThreeTop Tips For New Business Success
Dun & Bradstreet and INC. magazine report that, 33 per cent of all new businesses fail within the first six months. With fifty per cent of new businesses failing within their first two years of operation and 75 per cent within the first three years you can see that in order to survive you need to take every possible precaution against becoming just another statistic. There is plenty of information out there, some worthwhile, some confusing, but get the basics right from the start and give your new venture every chance of success.
Here are three top tips that will help you on your way. None of them absolutely guarantees the financial freedom you dream about when starting your own business, but nonetheless they will at least point you in the right direction.
Firstly, make a business plan, no matter how sketchy, no matter how short. A business plan allows you to work out your projected start-up costs and how much money you'll need to save or borrow. After all even things like envelopes, computer paper or labels cost money. It will also inform your marketing strategies and how you will reach target audience to make sales. It's important that you are able to make the numbers work out on paper before committing hard cash
to your ideas in reality. In this respect, for most new small companies, the most important aspects of a business plan are the break-even analysis, a profit-and-loss forecast, and a cash flow projection - projecting your cash flow with accuracy could make or break your company. Despite being stacked up with work, if customers aren't paying you before you need to pay your suppliers you will end up in trouble. You need to plan. Your business plan is the perfect way to consider what ifs scenarios and work to them and around them. Forewarned is forearmed and will give you the ability to survive in a testing financial climate.
Secondly, keep it lean and light and take things one step at a time. Don't think big to start with and dont lay out any cash unless you really need to. Think small and perfectly formed. Keep your overheads down and your profits a healthy as possible. If you are able to work from home to start with then do so. If you can manage on your own to start with then manage on your own. Outsource if needs be, but consider carefully the commitments of employing staff. Thinking big burdens start ups with unnecessary expense, eventually crippling them if they aren't careful. Ambition is a fine thing, but ambition tempered with perspective and a realistic time frame on accruing overheads. Make your mistakes inexpensively. Learn from them as you go along. If you are running your company with the minimum of fat your initial errors won't burden you with debt. Live, learn and prepare for success.
Safeguard your personal assets. If you don't take the necessary precautions a creditor can go after your personal assets, for example your house or your car to pay for these debts. When you set up your own business, you are usually personally liable for all debts that the business incurs. These might include business loans, taxes, money owed to your suppliers and landlords plus any judgements made against the business as a result of legal action. While you can buy business liability insurance to help protect yourself against lawsuits, this won't be of any help when it comes to business debts. If you think that your new business will be running up big debts, then seriously consider forming a corporation or limited liability company

The Importance of Charity
For those in the United States and around the world who think of Americans are selfish and stingy, the latest donation statistics prove otherwise.
Americans donated nearly $300 billion last year to charity, setting a record that was inspired by aid to victims of the Asian tsunami and three major hurricanes in the U.S. According to the annual report from the Giving USA Foundation at Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy, Americans donated $295.02 billion in 2006, eclipsing the total of $283.05 billion in the previous year.
The American may get a bad reputation abroad in some places, but the bottom line is that we are a very giving people. We produce some of the greatest wealth on the planet, and, in turn, our wealthiest individuals like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are known for their success as well as their philanthropic efforts.
I save the most important chapter for last in my latest release, “How Come That Idiot’s Rich and I’m Not.”
The first 11 chapters of this new book discloses my proven theories on attaining wealth, but in the final few pages, it outlines what is truly important in life – health, family, friends and philanthropy.
I hope my latest book helps people become successful, but if just one area has an impact on them, I hope it’s that last chapter. People certainly have financial stress in their life, but sometimes they need to take a step back and understand that billions, yes billions, of people in the world don’t have the things we take for granted. I think a lot of Americans understand that.
The results from the Giving USA report bear that out. Roughly 65 percent of charitable contributions come from households with incomes less than $100,000. The largest amount of money – $96.82 billion – goes to religious organizations, followed by $29.65 billion going to education.
The most important aspect of being wealthy is recognizing that you are wealthy and appreciate what money and financial success can do. For those who make a sincere effort to examine what they have in life compared to most in the world, it will help manage daily stress and anxiety.

Are Meetings Producing a Loss or a Gain?
Almost everyday people in organizations have to attend meetings. Has anyone at the organizations looked at those meetings to determine if they are productive? Does anyone in the organization know if the meetings were beneficial enough to be worth the investment? If the answer is NO, then please read on to determine how to verify the worth a meeting has to the organization.
Recognize the Productivity Level.
The value of a meeting to the organization and how productive a meeting is relates directly to how effective it is at accomplishing the meeting’s purpose. If the meeting accomplishes more then 60% of its purpose, then the meeting was beneficial and the cost of the meeting is to be considered a good investment in the success of the organization. Most average meetings accomplish around forty to sixty percent of the meeting’s purpose. In this case the cost of having the meeting may be balanceable by its benefits; however this requires verifying that a benefit from the meeting is visible and verifiable. Finally, if the meeting accomplishes less than 40% of its purpose, the cost of the meeting is generally a loss to the organization.
Compute the Cost of Attendance.
How to figure out if the meeting has value related to its purpose and the investment in good meetings on future projects. Here is simple formula to use for calculations when weighing the cost of a meeting and against the potential benefits. MC = H x AC where AC = (R x N).
To determine the actual cost of a meeting, find the following data: an approximate average hourly rate for each person attending the meeting (R) and a count of the number of people expected to attend the meeting (N). Then multiply those numbers to compute total attendee cost (AC). Then take the number of hours (H) the meetings may be to multiply by the total attendee costs to compute approximate meeting cost (MC).*
Verify the Productivity Level.
Use or create a meeting management evaluation that will help the group decide where meetings fall on the productivity scale. The evaluation should have some sort of numbering system. Then assign a percentage value to the numbers in order to compare each meeting to the productivity levels. For example on a 5 point scale evaluation, each point would be worth 20% on the productivity scale. Keeping track of productivity levels is the only way to verify that improvement is happening. Sometimes, just knowing the meeting will be evaluated at the end is enough to keep people on target to achieving the meeting purpose.
Conduct Research on Meeting Management Methodologies.
There are many great books and some good training programs related to managing meetings available on the market. Do research on the web or ask people that do led meeting well for their recommendations.
Take Improvement Steps.
As noted earlier, the best way to know meetings are improving is to track the productivity before and after improvement steps have been taken. Improvement steps may be as simple as specialized training for the leader and/or group members. Or it could be a mentoring program where a truly good meeting facilitator is used to demonstrate the required skills in group meetings and then coach future meeting leaders in how to do a better job. Either way, an evolution in responsibility and mindset for the entire group will be necessary because a change in how the meetings are conducted will have to follow.
This information should at least be a starting point for determining what meetings currently have worth to the organization. It will also help with determining which ones could use improvement in order to become more productive and beneficial to the organization.

Rising Through The Ranks As A Company Secretary
The importance of company secretaries in the automotive industry cannot be understated. Secretaries for executives, managers, and supervisors are invaluable to maintaining the organisation and communication of the entire firm. In fact, the network of company secretaries throughout a firm can help make or break a company within the automotive industry. Highly sensitive materials, important appointments, and crucial organisational tasks are met ably by company secretaries. From the front office and the service counter, company secretaries are key parts of any leading automotive firm.
However, many young professionals entering the automotive industry fail to see the potential of rising through the ranks as a company secretary. This oversight can be damaging to those who want to rise quickly up the corporate ladder to management or supervisory positions. Indeed, administrative assistant and secretary positions are great ways to rise through the ranks of an automotive firm for the right candidate.
One reason why company secretary positions are great launching pads to advanced positions is the connections these professionals establish. Company secretaries speak with executives and other professionals throughout the industry, in addition to professionals in other industries working with automotive firms. As such, secretaries with the right skills and ambition already have the requisite knowledge to rise to other positions in the firm. The references they build by these regular interactions are integral to future success.
As well, company secretaries have to exhibit the skills necessary for management or supervisory positions. Clear communications, as mentioned, are a part of any secretary’s repertoire. As well, the ability to organise multiple tasks at one time and delegate to temporary workers or assistants prove invaluable in future positions. Finally, company secretaries are intimately familiar with the various departments within the firm.
However, the most important aspect of a company secretary’s job is the dissemination of information to their supervisors. Secretaries learn a lot about the inner workings and politics of a firm’s executive board just in the commission of their daily tasks. As well, company secretaries are often asked to summarise reports, write letters, and updated website information on behalf of an executive. By simply doing their jobs, company secretaries build a comprehensive knowledge of the automotive industry and the firm that they work for. Company secretaries in automotive firms build a strong reputation within their department and the general firm simply by fulfilling job expectations. Graduates and young professionals need to know that company secretary jobs are a great spring board to advanced positions.

Selling A Piece Of Yourself As A Product Marketing Manager
In the automotive industry, product marketing is key to the success of individual firms. As any consumer in the United Kingdom can attest to, the number of automotive advertisements in print, television and the Internet is difficult to assess without a calculator. Product marketing also takes the form of more subtle methods, including contests for free vehicles and product placement in television shows in order to avoid obvious advertising.
Managers at product marketing departments throughout the United Kingdom have a tough task on their hands. After all, auto firms have to compete in the general marketplace for the attention of consumers. As well, they need to compete with international auto makers in terms of attention in the specific market sector. Finally, product marketing managers need to work with designers and business people on how to find creative marketing solutions in every media.
The most important way in which a product marketing manager can ensure success in their field is to think of each product they advertise as a part of themselves. Personalising automobiles and other products allows a marketing manager to develop campaigns that make them proud. While it may be difficult to personalise something like an automobile, it is necessary to build the best marketing materials.
One way that a product marketing manager can sell a piece of themselves in each campaign is to observe the production process from start to finish. By observing the production of the item they are marketing, they become better connected to the production aspect of their employing firm. Indeed, automotive firms will encourage product marketing professionals to check out finished vehicles in order to find areas that should be highlighted in marketing campaigns.
Another way that a marketing manager can personalise the automotive marketing program is to ensure that every piece of material has a little bit of their imprint on it. This means that a product marketing manager develops a calling card or signature marketing tool that can be identified in the firm’s various marketing efforts. For example, a professional may use a certain type of font in product market campaigns that expresses their creativity. These small touches can make a product marketing manager proud of their work while feeling like the success of their employer is in some small part due to their efforts. In order to maintain focus, exceed expectations, and succeed in their jobs, product marketing managers need to bring a little of themselves into every part of their job.

Succeeding As An Automotive Marketing Director
The job of an automotive marketing director is one of the most difficult in the industry. Marketing new cars, trucks, and other vehicles is an important aspect in determining the success or failure of an automotive firm. Indeed, developing winning marketing campaigns and distinguishing between your product and the competition is a key factor in drawing consumers to their local dealership. Automotive marketing directors are in charge of the busy design, sales, and administrative professionals that help put together marketing campaigns.
Due to the high stress and importance of their job, automotive marketing directors may not realise that they need to sharpen their skills in order to succeed in their jobs. A director who is immersed in managing multiple marketing campaigns can often lose sight of how they can improve upon themselves. These marketing executives need to ensure that they are at the top of their game not only for their own professional success but the overall success of the firm.
The question for automotive marketing directors is how they can improve upon skills while in the thick of their stressful lives. The first step in increasing productivity in automotive marketing positions is to develop an inventory of skills needed for daily success. Automotive marketing directors may be busy during their days but they need to take a few minutes to review this list of skills and determine whether they are getting the job done. These inventories are an important first step towards success.
A marketing director may realise that they are not keeping up with the latest in industry news. Marketing directors in the automotive field need to stay updated on what their firm is doing, what other firms are doing, and the major trends in the automotive industry. The Internet makes finding news very easy and an automotive marketing director, with trade publications and news sites available with the click of a button.
Automotive marketing departments also need directors who are creative. Directors need to look back to past campaigns on a regular basis in order to avoid repetition in corporate marketing. As well, directors need to speak with their designers and developers to determine the best way to promote new product lines. A combination of conversation and creativity can lead to great campaigns.
Finally, automotive marketing directors need to be strong communicators. Directors can organise informal meetings, one-on-one sessions, and online forums in order to stay in contact with their subordinates. The ability to communicate with co-workers reflects on the ability of a director to communicate product information to the general public.

Is A Home Security System Right For You?
Everyone agrees that the safety of one's home and family are of paramount importance. However, not everyone is certain if they need a security system, and many people do not own one. Think about this: Only if you live on a deserted island are you truly free from the worry of break-ins. Needless to say, this leaves 99.9998% of the population to benefit from the use of a home security system. If you do not have a home security system, your home, belongings, and your family are all at risk from burglars who can easily pick a lock or break in. Regardless of where you live or what kind of home you live in, there are numerous justifications for having a home security system.
Regardless of your type of neighborhood, a home security system provides peace of mind. The elderly and younger people of the home are most at risk during a break in. But with a home security system they will not have to worry because the police will be notified the instant an intruder enters. The audible alarm is also highly likely to immediately scare the intruder away. Most break-ins occur at night, and the home security system protects you even then with constant monitoring. Home security systems have many other added benefits. Often, you will be able to obtain a discount on home owners insurance when you utilize a home security system.
There are different types of home security systems and different security features to consider while creating the perfect system for you and your family. There is a security system to fit every budget, and you can always add on features as your income allows. The two primary kinds of home security systems are those with wires, and those without. Families which own their home, and have floors and walls which are easy to drill through without causing damage, are best suited for wired systems. A wired system is best suited for homes with drywall. For renters, wireless alarm systems are ideal as they have no drilling requirements and can be taken along when moving. A wireless system is also excellent for families who own a home but have plaster walls or floors of concrete.
There are many different home security system features that will meet the needs of your home. By means of window stickers, cameras, motion activated lights and alarms, and multiple key pads, you can customize your system to suit your needs perfectly. It is essential that you examine all of these features, and figure out what is best for your home and family, before choosing a home security system. Think about adding multiple keypads for the convenient arming of your system if you own a large home or a home with over two exits. Key pads may be located in places that are most convenient to you. Consider your family's needs to determine if you want motion activated alarms, forced entry alarms, or perhaps both. Home security systems are a must for most families, and there are so many choices to make when determining which one is right for yours.

What Actually Causes Human Behavior?
There are many ways to answer this question and I don't claim to be the final authority on that subject. However, after helping thousands of students to create more amazing results than they even believed was possible, here's the answer I've come up with. And it's a simple answer, because I've found (and I'm sure you have, too) that the simplest answers usually lead to the best results.
Here is what I have shown to thousands of people in my seminars, and I call it The Scales of Success. Picture a balance, like the scales of Justice you've seen in a courtroom – an instrument for determining weight that has a fulcrum at the center, from each end of which is suspended a plate.
Now, on one plate, I want you to imagine that we have something called Your Why-To's. These are your internal motives or Reasons Why to do something.
On the other plate, we have Your Why-Not-To's. These are your internal Reasons Why Not to do something.
Let me give you an example from your own life. Why are you reading this book right now? The answer to that question is actually very simple. The reason you are still reading this book right now is because you perceive that there are more Why-To's of doing so than Why-Not-To's of doing so in your life right now.
What does that mean, exactly? It means that you perceive that there are more Benefits of reading this book (another word for Why-To's is Benefit) than Costs of reading this book (another word for Why-Not-To's is Cost).
Your mind is like an infinite weighing machine – every moment, your mind is weighing your perceived Benefits against your perceived Cost of doing any behavior or activity you can think of.
Can you also see that every decision we make as human beings is built upon our Why-To's and Why-Not-To's?
• Where you live
• What you wear
• What you eat (and how often you eat it)
• What kind of car you drive
• What you do for work
• Who you decide to marry – or not marry!
• What you had for breakfast this morning…
All of these were determined by your Why-To's and Why-Not-To's. In fact, every decision you've ever made in your life was based on your internal Why-To's and Why-Not-To's: your reasons why you thought you should do the thing vs. the reasons not to do that thing.

Tips and Tactics for Smart Savers
American consumers are experts at spending money, but when it comes to saving, they’re failing miserably.
A recent report released by the Commerce Department revealed that the nation’s personal savings rate for all of 2006 was a negative 1 percent. That’s the worst showing in 73 years, which is significant because that was at a time when the Great Depression was in full swing and people were forced to dip into their savings just to survive.
The negative rate translates into Americans spending all of their after-tax money last year, then dipping into savings, borrowing or financing even more to spend more. The near-record low savings rate is occurring at a time when 78 million baby boomers are about to transition into their retirement years.
Obviously the dynamics between today’s savings numbers being equal to the Great Depression are different because a quarter of the workforce was out of a job. Nevertheless, it’s an alarming statistic that Americans should take very seriously. Not only should they save more, they need to save smarter.
Squeezing value out of every dollar is a priority for anyone who wants to acquire wealth. It covers how the rich think when it comes to purchasing everything, including housing, food, transportation and travel.
It’s about value, not money, as “Rich Idiots” never pay retail prices for anything, and increase their spendable income by reducing the cost of material purchases. For example, there are tactics on saving money when it comes to housing, like negotiating rents and mortgages, acquiring a lease option or moving farther away from the center or town in order to afford a better home. With transportation, there are two big money-savers – buying used and leasing.
People living paycheck to paycheck think it’s impossible to save enough money to make a difference. Their first priority should be to change that way of thinking. If people simply emulate what the ‘Rich Idiots’ do today, they’ve won half the battle on the road to being rich.

Wealth-Building for the Wedded
It may not be the most romantic notion, but the fact is, getting married is good for your wallet.
A recent report published in the leading financial magazine The Economist highlighted the economic consequences of marriage, one of them being that, on average, those who marry end up four times richer than those who don’t.
The simple act of marriage can generate wealth for various reasons. Combining resources, living cheaper and a heightened sense of responsibility come with the territory when two people become a union.
According to The Economist report, married American men earn 10 to 40 percent more, work harder, drink less and tend to save and invest more. While marriage can sharply enhance assets, divorce can swiftly send them in the other direction.
I believe The Economist report clearly shows that the culture of marriage is progressing a bit in this country. The divorce rate is down about 10% from its high of 53 percent in the U.S., and I think it’s because people are becoming a little smarter about what they want and are communicating those needs.
That’s not always the case, of course. First and foremost, a couple should have similar financial goals and discuss those plan before tying the knot. Second, a pre-nuptial agreement is recommended to preserve acquired wealth. Finally, when it comes to marriage, always hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. Contact a good attorney and take action to create asset protection tools.
Putting together a smart financial plan with your new partner is absolutely essential for any married couple. You have to prepare for life’s eventualities, and the simple fact is that married people don’t stay married about 50 percent of the time. It’s a lot easier for everyone involved if and when that time of separation comes that all money issues are in order.

How to Successfully Move With Your Pets
Many people find that they have to move a long way, and don't know how to deal with their pets. Some people find the challenges of moving their pet to be overwhelming and elect to find them a new home. However, it is only normal to not want to part with your pets, especially if you treat them as a special part of your family. You will need to ensure that special measures are taken in bringing your pet into your new home and your new neighborhood.
A must for your pet is that he or she is wearing identification at all times. With your cell phone number on it and maybe an alternate landline number of someone you trust, an ID tag can be purchased for as little as $5.00. The microchip ID, which is the size of a grain of rice and easily implanted under your pet’s skin, is another excellent option. However, as it happens, according to the Humane Society of the United States, “improved” technologies by the manufacturers have rendered the universal scanner obsolete and one cannot be very sure that the shelter your pet arrives at will be in a position to read the microchip. So, it's a good idea to use the chip and an ID tag as well. In lieu of a regular collar, you should consider getting a harness that pets cannot wiggle out off and attach the ID tag to it. Special "walking jackets" can be purchased for cats.
When visiting your family vet, you should get all of your pet’s shots up to date, and you should obtain a copy of your pet's medical records. Store these records in your glove box, along with your car's registration and insurance papers. Since your pets' health and safety is of great importance to you, be sure to ask about the pros and cons of pet tranquilizers and motion sickness medications so that you can make an informed decision on how you wish to proceed. If you go this route, try them on your pet before the long trip so that you will know how your pet may react to them.
Even dogs who LOVE car rides can become restless and stressed on extensive trips. In addition to keeping your pet secured, a crate may provide emotional comfort for your pet, having a space that belongs just to him. There are soft-side crates that are easy to assemble, comfortable, and airy, in addition to the familiar hard-sided-crates. Before you take your trip, allow your pet to get comfortable sleeping in the crate in the weeks before your moving date. Provide some favorite toys and blankets to make your pet feel as comfy as possible.
It is a good idea to give your pet just a very small amount of food in the morning to settle his stomach, and you can feed him more at night when you will not be traveling. Breaks for exercise, potty stops, and drinks of water are necessary when traveling with a pet, so be sure to plan time for these occasions. For those potty cleanup moments, there are little dispensers that clip onto the leash that contain bags. You should keep hand sanitizer in your vehicle for quick disinfecting after these potty breaks.
An internet search for "pet friendly hotels" can give you a list of hotels along your route that will welcome your pets. Be sure to phone ahead, as many hotels require reservations for particular rooms that allow pets.
Obtain peace of mind so you can focus on getting you, the kids, and the pets safely to your new home by choosing a reputable moving company to transport your furniture and boxes.

Moving Tips from the Experts
Transporting your family members thousands of miles can be an overwhelming task that requires more planning than just a move across town. Some tips on how to make the trek easier are listed below.
Pack a separate suitcase or tote for each person if there is room in your vehicle. A complete set of clothes, with underwear and socks, for each travel day, plus an extra set, needs to be included. To avoid bedtime hysterics, pack the things that people need to go to sleep, like special teddy bears or blankets, on top. Keep soiled clothing separate by utilizing garbage bags with pull string enclosures.
Remember to refill any prescription medications before the big day, and pack a first aid kit that includes pain-killers, band-aids, and antibiotic ointment. If anyone has food or other allergies and has been prescribed Benadryl or an EpiPen, remember to have them close at hand in the car.
Go to the local dollar store. Buy a toiletry kit with multiple toothbrushes, lotion, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, napkins, plastic dinnerware including plates, and finally, many packages of batteries for electronic entertainment devices. Fasten the bags securely and pack them in one of the suitcases that you'll be taking on the trip.
Many families own two vehicles, and they will be driving them separately. In this case, the purchase of two quality walkie-talkies is recommended for the trip. Cell phones are often at the mercy of areas with poor or no reception, and these areas are frequently found along less traveled roads. Plus, the walkie-talkies may pay for themselves by reducing the roaming charges on your cell phone. If car trouble or some other calamity occurs, you can instantly be in contact with the other driver. Consider two identical sets of walkie-talkies, set on the same frequency, for the times when the older children are allowed to attend the rest room or get snacks by themselves. In the event that danger is encountered, your child should be taught to cry for help and push the button at the same time. You may even want to do some practice drills prior to the trip.
Keep an agenda of everyday tasks, like taking vitamins and medicine, recharging the cell phones and walkie-talkies, and double checking to make sure you've gotten everything. Make a space for you to check off after each task has been completed. You are more than likely to become exhausted on an extended road trip and may not be able to recall all of the small details that can make a huge difference.
It is better to charge your batteries for the communication devices every night, because normally, the day after the night you don't charge it will be the day you will need it the most. To make things easier, go ahead and make a copy of this list for each day and store it in a three ring binder, along with printouts of Mapquest directions and the phone numbers of your important contacts, such as the moving company and the hotels in which you intend to stay.
You'll obviously want to pack snacks for the car ride. Consider healthier snacks such as protein bars and shakes, as opposed to sodas and candy bars. Traveling with kids on sugar highs is a bad idea.

What to Expect When Entering Radiation Therapy
Radiation therapy, often referred to as radiotherapy, has many uses. While it is useful for the treatment of non-malignant conditions such as thyroid eye disease, it is most commonly used as the result of a cancer diagnosis and as part of a treatment regiment to control malignant tumors.
When used to treat cancer, radiation therapy is often administered in conjunction with surgery and chemotherapy. In operable cases, surgery may be conducted to remove as much of the cancer as possible, then treatment is followed up by radiation therapy to kill any remaining cancer cells. The same is true of treatment in conjunction with chemotherapy. In some cases, a combination of all three treatments will be used.
To treat a person with radiation therapy, a doctor known as a radiation oncologist directs high energy x-rays at the patient’s body in order to kill cancer cells and prevent their growth and proliferation. These x-rays are the same as those administered to image bones and teeth, and just like an x-ray of your arm or teeth, it is not painful. However, the concentration of x-rays is much higher as its purpose is to kill living cells rather than just obtain an image.
At such high doses, the x-rays are capable of killing not just the cancerous cells, but health tissue as well. Radiation therapy works, however, because healthy cells that are damaged are better able to recover whereas cancerous cells have a more difficult time. To minimize damage to healthy cells, the radiation is targeted to the part of the body where the cancer resides.
Common side effects include fatigue, nausea, decreased immune response, hair loss, and others. Side effects often result from the radiation of healthy tissue. However, new technologies are increasing the precision of radiation therapy, thereby reducing side effects and improving success rates.
